I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers.  ㅡ Ephesians 1:16 

내가 기도할 때에 기억하며 너희로 말미암아 감사하기를 그치지 아니하고 (엡 1:16)

Marina heard the gospel of Jesus Christ for the first time while she was in the hospital. Another patient there, Antonina, explained to her what Christ did for us on the cross and how to be spiritually healed by his wounds. Soon marina trusted in Jesus for her salvation.

마리나는 병원에 입원하고 있을 때 예수님의 복음을 처음으로 듣게 되었습니다. 또 다른 환자인 안토니나는 예수님께서 십자가에서 우리를 위하여 무슨 일을 하셨는지 그리고 그의 상함을 인하여 우리가 영적으로 어찌 치유되는지에 대하여 그녀에게 설명했습니다. 마리나는 곧 예수를 믿어 구원에 이르게 되었습니다. 

Later in her letter to us she shared, "When I entered the hospital, I was so depressed. But I learned about Jesus and was encouraged by his gospel. I'm so thankful to Antonina, who cared enough to talk to me."

후에 우리에게 쓴 편지에서, 그녀는 "병원에 들어왔을 때, 나는 너무 낙심되었어요. 하지만 나는 예수님에 대하여 배워 그의 복음에 의하여 용기를 내게 되었지요. 나는 내게 이런 말을 하며 보살핀 안토니나에게 정말 감사해요."

Are you thankful to people whom God sends into your life? The Bible teachers us to love both God and our neighbors. The daily practice of this love includes thanks both to our heavenly Father and to the people around us.

여러분은 하나님께서 여러분의 인생에 보내신 사람들에게 감사합니까? 성경은 하나님과 우리 이웃 모두를 사랑하라 가르칩니다. 이 사랑에 대한 매일의 실천에는 우리 하나님 아버지와 우리 주변의 사람들에 대한 감사를 포함합니다.

When the apostle Paul wrote to the Ephesians, his main objective was to explain God's eternal purpose and grace. He sought to share with his readers God's high goals for the church. Yet against the background of this monumental task, the apostle remembers to say how thankful he is for the ordinary believers in the city of Ephesus. He compliments them for their devotion to Jesus and for their love for all God's people. He encourages and prays for thwm.

사도 바울이 에베소 교인들에게 편지를 썼을 때, 그의 주 목적은 하나님의 영원한 목적과 은혜를 설명하는 일이었습니다. 그는 교회를 위한 하나님의 높은 목표를 그의 독자들과 나누려 애썼습니다. 그러나 이 기념비적인 과업의 이면의 환경에 맞서며, 사도는 에베소 시의 평범한 신자들에 대하여 자신이 얼마나 감사한지 언급하는 일을 기억합니다. 그는 그들의 예수님께 대한 사랑을 칭찬합니다. 그는 그들을 격려하며 기도합니다.

In our daily interactions with people, are we doing the same?

Father, your son, Jesus, remineded us to love you and our neighbors. Fill our souls with love toward you, and teach us how to love our neighbors through our words and actions. Amen.

아버지, 주의 아들, 예수님은 주와 우리 이웃들을 사랑한다는 사실을 우리에게 상기시켜 주셨습니다. 주를 향한 사랑으로 우리 영혼을 채우시고, 우리의 언행을 통하여 우리 이웃을 어찌 사랑해야 하는지 우리에게 가르쳐 주옵소서. 아멘.
